Write to us

Our address

Write to info@romboride.com about anything: a problem, a question, an idea, or your data. We answer by email, as soon as we can. RomboRide is in testing, so thank you for your patience.

Never send us your password. We will never ask for it.

Report a problem from the app

In the app, under "Profile", then "Report a problem", you can send us a report when something does not work. The app makes it on your phone, as one file of fixed facts such as the app's version, the phone's model and recent errors as codes, and shows you all of it before it goes. It leaves your phone only when you send it yourself, and your account's ID is in it only if you tick the box for it. The privacy policy lists everything a report holds.

Writing to us without it? These help us most:

  • What you did, step by step, and what you expected.
  • What happened instead, and roughly when.
  • Your phone's model and its system version, and whether you use the app with an account.
  • A screenshot, if it shows the problem. Check first that it shows nothing you would rather keep to yourself, such as where you live.

First questions

Do I need an account?

No. Without one you can plan routes, press the Sunday Button, see the weather and pass status, follow a route, record your rides and save your routes on your phone. A free account, with your email address or with Google, also stores your routes and the rides you keep on our server, in your account, so that your routes are on your other phones too, and lets you plan routes longer than 100 km, report a pass and download your data.

Does it cost anything?

Today the app is free, and there is nothing to buy in it. The Sunday Button gives everyone three presses a month.

Does it record my rides?

Yes. Press "Record", in the middle of the tab bar: the app records your ride on your phone, with the screen off and the phone in your pocket. Your recorded rides are on your phone, and in your account if you have one; "Export from this phone" takes them with you. The privacy policy says what a recording holds, when it pauses, how long it is kept and how to delete it, and what your account keeps of a ride under Rides in your account. Otherwise the app sends a position, or the part of the map you are looking at, to our server only for the things the policy lists under Your location, such as a Sunday Button press from where you are.

Your data and your account

With an account, you can download your data from our database: in the app, under "Profile", then "Your data", tap "Export my data". The privacy policy names the few things the download leaves out.

To delete your account, in the app or by email, see Delete your account.

How we handle your data is in the privacy policy, and the rules for using RomboRide are in the terms of use.
